Creating Formal Documents - Templates Provided
All formal documents must follow formatting guidelines in the Rules of Practice and Procedure. Specifically, they must follow Rule 1.5 (Form and Size of Documents) and Rule 1.6 (Title Page Requirements). In addition to these Rules, other Rules detailing the content of the documents must be followed as well. These are specified below next to the type of document being filed. Below we provide templates to help you get started on the creation of your documents.
Note: It is the participant's responsibility to ensure they are following all of the relevant Rules when creating their formal documents for a proceeding.
Filing a motion for party status. This type of motion must fulfill Rule 1.4.b
- For an Application Proceeding (e.g. A.12-11-009)
- For a Rulemaking Proceeding (e.g. R.12-12-011)
Filing a protest or response to an application. Refer to Rule 2.6

- For a Response to an application, you can use the template of a formal protest - change the word "protest" to "response"
Filing comments in response to a rulemaking. Refer to Rule 6.2
