Energy Division will host a public informational session describing the pilot partnership project between SCE and Sandia National Labs focused on developing a geospatial social burden index on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM.

TOPIC: SCE and Sandia National Labs, ReNCAT Pilot Partnership Project Kickoff Information Session

MEETING PURPOSE: In this informational session, Southern California Edison (SCE) and Sandia National Labs will describe their pilot partnership project running Sandia’s Resilience Node Cluster Analysis Tool (ReNCAT) with SCE’s Community Resilience Metric (CRM) and other utility data to examine evaluative levels of social burden during blue and black sky conditions.  Social burden (discussed in previous workshops) is an indicator of how hard people are working to get their basic needs met during an electric power outage.
