  • Door and building envelope repairs which reduce air infiltration

Energy Savings Assistance Multifamily Energy Savings (MFES) Program

To qualify for the multifamily program, the property can be either deed-restricted or non-deed restricted. For deed restricted properties, the owner must certify that at least 65% of the tenant households meet the ESA income guidelines. For non-deed restricted properties, the owner must certify that at least 80% of the tenant households meet the ESA income guidelines. Energy efficiency services provided differ by the two programs and encompass in unit, common area and whole building treatments. Tenants and property managers can apply for the MFES programs by visiting the Multifamily Central Portal
